"Sparkle and Shine"
This Newsletter comes to you from the sunny land of Baja, Mexico where we're enjoying the warmth of May. We've been getting settled in for our 2 month stay. I've set up my art studio under the palapa and have a bunch of paintings I'm working on. I'll tell you about that as well as my Featured Artist who does colorful paintings and uses many different styles from funky and abstract to realism.
We are in Baja and I'm painting more of my birch tree paintings that I call "magical woodlands". I was putting them under my "metaphysical landscape" series but they seem to call for their own name. Although both these series I call "Mindscapes" because they're landscapes coming right from my imagination.
I'm also working on more "Dream Garden" paintings. And I have some new minis I'm working on which will be for sale in June. Some of these baja paintings will be for my upcoming show at the Tumalo Art Co. in the Fall.
I'm creating some new art videos too. In next month's newsletter there will be a link to them on my Youtube channel.

My magical woodlands paintings are bringing me a lot of joy and I have some new ones to share. You can find the originals for sale at the Tumalo Art Co. in Bend. Three of of them are listed as prints in my Etsy Shop. The two below are open edition prints and my first birch tree painting is there as a limited edition print.

My Etsy Shop is closed for shipping while we're in Baja but you can still order something while I'm away and I will ship it to you when I get back. I'll be re-opening my Etsy Shop the end of June and shipping things out on July 5th.

Thaneeya McArdle is a multi-talented artist that I've been following on the internet for some time. Her art makes me happy with it's colorful pattern and color! Not only does she do beautiful, funky abstracts but also photo realism and illustration! I love her fun Day of the Dead art which you can see on the left. You can find all this and more on her website and Etsy Shop.
Thaneeya also has another creative website titled Art is Fun where you can learn everything from painting tips and techniques to art appreciation! It explores all kinds of art related topics and is very comprehensive. I learn something new everytime I go to it. I think you'll enjoy it!
